Drywall Dust…

There has to be nothing dustier, dryer, and nastier than drywall dust. Yet, here we are ripping aal the old drywall off the walls and making just that; A dry, dusty, and nasty mess. But I must say that we worked real well as a team. Simon was a little reluctant to help us at first. As he stated; “I thought it would be boring”. But I have never seen a child so happy about ripping apart a wall. He got so excited and became very particular about getting all the nails out of the wall and making sure we made as little mess as possible. He was a real trooper. Jared was very excited that we saved him a wall for when he got home from school. He had so much fun tearing down the drywall as well. But at the end of the day all the walls were down, the floor was swept and washed and we had purchased our new drywall. Look forward to having walls again though!!!

Stay tuned…

  1. UGH, you're right there is NOTHING that makes a bigger mess than drywall! Until it comes to sanding the new drywall! That dust is so fine it gets absolutely everywhere! Remember to put up plastic in the doorway from the kitchen to the rest of the house or you'll find that DA** dust in your sheets!R/

  2. Wow – can't wait to see the final result of the kitchen reno. We're thinking of re-doing our kitchen as well but the idea just intimidates me as I know it'll cost more than we'd ever expect… but our current kitchen is driving me bonkers. I'll keep an eye out to see how things turn out for you guys but I just love the new counter and sink you installed!
